Abu Dhabi: Four men have been arrested for allegedly dealing in fake currency in Riyadh, police said.

The police prepared a plan to trap the men, three Saudis and a Sudanese in their 20s and 30s, based on information received, said Riyadh police spokesman Major Khaled Al Kreidis.

Major Al Kreidis added the suspects were arrested in possession of counterfeit banknotes in a housing unit they had taken as a den to practice their crime.

The men were remanded in custody and all legal measures were taken to refer them to the Public Prosecution for further questioning and trial, police said.
