Abu Dhabi: Saudi Arabia and Cyprus stressed the need to find a political solution to the situation in Libya and to distance it from all foreign interference, Saudi media reported yesterday.
During official talks conducted by Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, during his official visit to Cyprus, with his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulideson, they said there is a consensus on many issues.

The Saudi Foreign Minister affirmed the kingdom’s support for the sovereign rights of the Republic of Cyprus on its territory and called on all parties to resolve disputes by peaceful means and dialogue in accordance with the rules of international law.
The two sides stressed the need to find a political solution to the situation in Libya and to distance it from all foreign interference.
The two sides also reiterated the need to reach a political solution to the Yemeni crisis, and the Cypriot side expressed its condemnation of the terrorist Houthi militia’s attacks on the territory of the kingdom.
