Saudi Arabia: Al Sudairi named first female board member of Institute of Internal Auditors

Distinguished scholar is first woman IIA board member since its inception in 2011

Abu Dhabi: Dr. Fahda Bint Sultan Al Sudairi, associate professor of accounting at the Faculty of Economics and Administration at King Abdulaziz University, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Saudi Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).

Dr. Hossam Al Angari, president of the General Bureau for Auditing and chairman of the IIA Board of Directors, made the appointment on the basis of the nomination of Minister of Education Dr. Hamad Al Sheikh, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Dr. Al Sudairi is the first woman to join the IIA Board of Directors since its inception in 2011. She is a distinguished scholar with high-level academic and practical competence and experience and rich record in research and literature.

She attended several seminars and conferences related to accounting and auditing, in addition to her participation in professional councils and committees in many bodies along with her brilliant career at the KAU Faculty of Economics and Administration.
