Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh police have arrested nine men for allegedly stealing electrical breakers and materials worth more than a million Saudi riyals.

Abu Dhabi: Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh police have arrested nine men for allegedly stealing electrical breakers and materials worth more than a million Saudi riyals from electrical distribution stations and buildings under construction, police said.

“The burglars, eight Pakistanis and an Indian, in their 20s and 30s, allegedly stole copper circuit breakers and other electrical materials, worth SR1,050,000 from electrical distribution stations and buildings under construction,” said Major Khaled Al Kreidis, Riyadh Police spokesperson.

The men were remanded in custody pending moving to the Public Prosecution for further questioning and trial, major Al Kreidis added.
