Saudi Arabia: 12,000 violations of coronavirus measures in a week

Ministry urges citizens and residents to follow COVID-19 protocols

Dubai: More than 12,000 violations of coronavirus precautionary measures and preventive protocols have been registered across Saudi Arabia in a week.

The Ministry of Interior said it recorded 12,855 violations from November 22 to 28.

The Mecca region has seen the highest number of violations with 3,290 cases, followed by the Al Qassim region with 1,980, Riyadh (1,956), Medina (1,609) and the Eastern Province (1,114).

The ministry emphasized that citizens and expatriates must continue to adhere to the preventive protocols and instructions issued by the concerned authorities.
