Dubai: The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that pilgrims who performed Hajj five years ago can apply for this year’s season, local media reported.

The ministry has encouraged those who meet the terms and conditions to apply swiftly, either through their website or the Nusuk app.
Eligibility is open to both citizens and expats who performed the Hajj five years ago and are at least 12 Hijri years old.
The terms and conditions dictate that applicants must have a valid identity card or iqama that remains valid until the end of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, and be in good health, without acute, chronic, or infectious illnesses.
The ministry has also highlighted the option to add up to 13 companions, including the mahram (blood relative), to one booking, provided they are all in one package. However, this is an optional step, and the mahram is exempt from the condition of having performed the Hajj five years ago. In such a case, the mahram pilgrim must also submit an exemption request with their application.
Applicants may choose from four Hajj packages, with seats assigned based on registration priority. A portion of these seats have already been reserved for those who have never performed the Hajj.
Issuance of Hajj permits will begin on Shawwal 15, after verifying that registrants have received the necessary vaccinations against COVID-19, meningitis, and seasonal influenza. The Ministry stressed that applicants must register directly, using a mobile number that has not been used for another reservation, and that applications cannot be submitted through agents or intermediaries.
The ministry has also emphasized the ease of making reservations, with payment required within 72 hours through the SADAD electronic system to avoid automatic cancellation.
The ministry has outlined their refund policy for those unable to perform the rituals, which applicants can find among the terms and conditions or through the designated section on the user panel.
