Five men arrested for stealing SR1.3m from Madinah house, Saudi Arabia

The men were referred to the Public Prosecution for further interrogation and trial

Abu Dhabi: Two Saudis, in their 20s, and three Yemeni residents were arrested after breaking into a house in Madinah and robbing SR150,000 and gold jewelry worth Sr1,200,000, media spokesman for the Madinah Police Department, Lieutenant Colonel Hussein Al Qahtani, said.

The men were referred to the Public Prosecution for further interrogation and trial, Colonel Al Qahtani added.

In a separate incident occurred on Wednesday, two Saudi men and a Yemeni resident were arrested for stealing SR180,000, and gold jewlery, valued at SR200,000 from a house in Madinah, police said.

A large part of the stolen items were seized in the trio’s possession, and they were referred to the Public Prosecution pending further investigation and trial, the police added.
