COVID-19: With 483 new infections, Saudi Arabia reports lowest daily cases in five months

Dubai: Saudi Arabia’s coronavirus cases are continuing to decline significantly with 483 new infections reported today, signalling the lowest daily reported cases in five months. This takes the kingdom’s infection tally to 329,754.

Twenty-seven more people have died from the virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the kingdom’s death toll to 4,485, Dr. Mohammad Al Abdul Ali, Health Ministry’s spokesperson said during a press conference.

Additionally, 1,009 infected patients have fully recovered, pushing the total number of recovered cases to 310, 439, while the recovery rate has risen to 94 per cent, the spokesperson said.

Active cases continued to fall drastically with 14,830 cases, including 1,183 critical.

Jeddah registered the highest daily reported cases with 64, followed by Mecca with 42 cases, and Hofuf with 41. The remaining cases were detected in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom, Dr. Al Abdul Ali added.
