Cairo: The Qatari Health Ministry announced Wednesday 283 new coronavirus cases, pushing the country's overall infections to 3,711 including seven fatalities.
Most new cases are in migrant workers in different parts of the country, while the others resulted from having contact with previously infected people, the ministry added in an update.
The new patients have been placed in complete health isolation.
Thirty-three other patients have recovered, raising Qatar's total recoveries to 406, the ministry added.
The ministry renewed its call for all people to stay at home and not to go out unless necessary.
