Wedding halls allowed to accommodate up to 250 people as restrictions begin to ease

Dubai: Shisha cafes in Oman are now allowed to reopen from Sunday but strict COVID-19 precautionary measures remain in place.
The move was announced by the Muscat Municipality as part of the continuing easing of coronavirus restrictions, particularly with the ongoing nationwide vaccination campaign and the steady decline in the daily reported cases in the Sultanate.
The municipality said shisha cafes can reopen from Sunday, January 17 under restrict COVID-19 precautionary measures.
It also announced that prayer rooms inside shopping malls will also be reopen to worshippers. “Wedding halls can accommodate a maximum of 250 people,” the municipality said in a statement.
