Dubai: Kuwait’s Criminal Court has sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen to two years in jail with hard labour for threatening a fashionista and publishing indecent photos of her on social media in violation of public decorum, Al Seyassah newspaper reported.

The Public Prosecution charged the citizen of threatening the victim through instant messaging applications – WhatsApp and SnapChat – and publishing pictures of her in indecent postures in a way that violates her dignity, as indicated by the investigations.

The citizen was also charged with deliberately misusing one of the communication means – mobile phone – for committing the crimes.
