Abu Dhabi: Kuwait’s Ministry of Education continues its preparations to launch the distance e-learning system for high school students by coordination with educational districts and school principals - but will need thousands of laptops which could be difficult to attain.

The Ministry of Education needs several things to launch the distance e-learning system, at the forefront comes training courses for teachers so that they can offer lessons online successfully, Kuwaiti media quoted officials as saying.

The sources said in the event of the application of the system, the ministry will also need at least 35,000 laptops for the Grade XII students in its scientific and literary streams, pointing out that it is tricky to provide this number in a very short period.
