Kuwait City: A Kuwaiti citizen drove into a security checkpoint in the Al Jahra governorate during curfew hours, local media reported.

The suspect has been referred to the authorities for investigation and to determine whether the crash was an accident or planned.

No damages or injuries occurred as a result of the crash; only minimal damage of the security equipment set up at the checkpoint.

Twice in one week

This is the second indecent involving a crash into a security checkpoint in the span of one week.

Last week, a security officer was killed after a motorist ran him over at a security checkpoint during curfew hours. The suspect was reported to have been wearing a military uniform and was believed to be unstable.

Since Kuwait enforced a partial curfew back on March 7, security forces have been setting up checkpoints throughout the country to ensure that nobody is violating the curfew. Currently, the partial curfew begins at 7:00pm and ends at 5:00am.
