Kuwait: Court acquits woman accused of stealing husband’s luxury car

Hubby says the pair have had marital issues

Dubai: The Kuwaiti Misdemeanor Court acquitted a Kuwaiti woman who was accused of stealing her husband’s luxury car, Al Seyassah newspaper reported.

The wife was accused by her husband of breach of trust and theft of an expensive car that was left under her care.

According to the case file, the husband told investigation officers that his wife had breached the trust between them after he bought a luxury German made car and left it under her care, but she later refused to return it to him.

The husband admitted that the two had marital challenges and he tried to solve issues amicably especially with regard to the car but the wife refused to return it.

When the wife was questioned, she told the court that the plaintiff did not ask her to return the car and that she is ready to surrender it to him.
