COVID-19: Kuwait's tally surges to 5,804 with 526 new cases
Cairo: Kuwait Tuesday reported 526 new coronavirus cases, the highest daily incidence in the country, bringing to 5,804 its infection tally including 40 deaths, the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA said.
The newly diagnosed cases include a total of 520 patients who were either in touch with previously infected people or being investigated for sources of infection, spokesman for the Health Ministry Dr Abdullah Sanad said.
Six other cases were linked to travel to the US, he added.
A total of 90 patients are in intensive care including 31 in critical condition, according to the official
Kuwaiti Health Minister Sheikh Basil Al Sabah earlier Tuesday said that 85 more patients have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total recoveries in the country to 2,032.
