COVID-19: Kuwait reports 1 new fatality, 152 more infection cases
Cairo: Kuwait Tuesday recorded one more fatality from the COVID-19, raising to 23 the total such deaths in the country, the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA said. The latest fatality was a 61-year-old Indian resident who was in intensive care, the Health Ministry said.
The ministry also reported 152 new coronavirus cases, bringing to 3,440 the country's infection tally, the ministry's spokesman Dr Abdullah Al Sanad said.
The newly diagnosed cases include 128 in touch with previously infected people and 15 others linked to travel to the UK, Turkey and France, the official said.
The nine others are being investigated for sources of infection, Dr Al Sanad added in a media update.
Kuwaiti Health Minister Sheikh Basil Al Sabah, meanwhile, said that 164 more patients have recovered from COVID-19, raising the total recoveries in the country to 1,176.
