Zomato's 'oregano' tweet triggers hilarious responses

Joke takes a poke at those who collect seasoning sachets of oregano and chilli flakes

New Delhi: Home-grown restaurant search and delivery platform Zomato took to Twitter to share a joke that seems to have resonated with many who order pizza and collect the seasoning sachets of oregano and chilli flakes.

The food delivery platform tweeted the following:

Papa: Mera beta bada hoke collector banega. [My son will be a collector when he grows up.] Beta [son] becomes a collector of oregano and chilli flakes packets.

Soon, Twitterati erupted with hilarious responses.

"Don't forget plastic spoons, napkins, ketchup sachets, napkins, plastic dabbas," wrote a user.

"Papa:"Mera beta bada hoke chef banega, Beta :"orders food from Zomato app," wrote another user.

The post has already gained 100 plus re-tweets and more then 1,000 likes on Twitter.

Another user named @SanaFarzeen replied: "I am that beta."

Recently, Zomato shared a tweet, asking customers to eat home-cooked food for a change. "Guys, kabhi kabhi ghar ka khana bhi kha lena chahiye (Guys, eat home-cooked food for a change)" wrote Zomato.

Right after the tweet, founder Deepinder Goyal also appreciated Zomato's initiative on social media.
