Hyderabad: A local court in Telangana has sentenced a man to seven years imprisonment for killing his alcoholic son three years ago.

The court found the 63-year-old P. Mohan Rao guilty after his wife gave testimony about the incident at their home in Neredmet near Hyderabad.

According to the Rachakonda police, Mohan Rao stabbed his son Nahender Naidu to death due to his addiction to alcohol.

Mahender Naidu was working as a delivery man at a gas agency but lost his job due to the drinking habit and used to quarrel with his parents for money.

On the fateful day, Mahender Naidu came home in a drunk state, abused his mother Usha Rani and again went out.
