UAE: 3-day weekend announced for government workers in Umm Al Quwain during Ramadan

Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays will be off days throughout the holy month

Umm Al Quwain: The Amiri Diwan in Umm Al Quwain today issued a circular announcing a new work week and timings for government employees in the emirate during the holy month of Ramadan.

As per the circular, the official work days for all local government entities in Umm Al Quwain will be Monday to Thursday, with the weekends extending from Friday to Sunday. This change effectively grants government employees a three-day weekend throughout the duration of Ramadan.

The move follows the directives of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain.

The updated working hours for Umm Al Quwain government employees will be 9am to 2:30pm.
