Dubai Markaz distribute 130,000 meals a day

Dubai: Under the guidance of the Watani Al Emarat Foundation, Dubai Markaz Indian Cultural Foundation distributed 130,000 iftar meals a day during Ramadan, to contribute towards the one million meal project initiated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Working under Watani Al Emarat and Dubai Police, more than a thousand Markaz ICF volunteers serve ifta from various sites across Dubai, including; Jebel Ali, Deira, Bur Dubai, Karama, Satwa, Hor Al Ans, Rashidiya, Al Awir, Al Qusais, Al Quoz, Abu Hail, Jumeirah, Dubai Investment Park and International City. Salim Shah, from Watani Al Emarat, who is looking after volunteer activities, said they are working hard to get food to the needy on time.

Shah thanked the authorities for arranging such a massive drive to reach needy people across the emirate.

Volunteers also worked in Jebel Ali quarantined areas under Ministry of Health guidance.
