Ras Al Khaimah: The Air Wing Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police have rescued two Asian men who were stranded at an altitude of 4,500 feet in a mountainous region of the emirate.

The operation was prompted by a distress call reporting that one of the hikers had sustained a fracture in his leg.

Lieutenant Colonel Pilot Abdullah Ali Al Shehhi, Head of the Air Wing Department, said that upon receiving the report, a helicopter was dispatched immediately from the department’s headquarters to the location.

The team located the stranded individuals and airlifted them to a hospital for medical treatment.

Lt Col Al Shehhi urged hikers and climbers to adhere to all safety measures to protect themselves from potential risks.
