Dubai: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has issued a call for worshippers to embrace calmness, patience, and compassion while performing Umrah, reminding pilgrims that the sacred journey is not merely a series of rituals, but a deeply spiritual experience requiring mindfulness and mutual respect.
In an awareness message shared on its social media platforms, the ministry emphasized that Umrah is a journey of faith and inner peace.
Pilgrims were urged to avoid crowding and jostling, show patience while entering and exiting the holy sites, and give priority to the elderly.
“Umrah is a journey of patience and faith,” the ministry stated. “Embrace tranquility, treat others with selflessness, so you may be granted ease and divine satisfaction.”
The ministry also reiterated the importance of adhering to regulatory instructions within the Grand Mosque, cooperating with guidance teams, and observing the organized flow of movement. Such behavior ensures not only the safety of all worshippers, but also upholds the spiritual and moral objectives of the Umrah pilgrimage.
Saudi Arabia has issued more than 190,000 Umrah visas to international pilgrims since the start of the new Umrah season on June 10.
The issuance of permits began on June 11, just one day after the season officially opened. The Nusuk platform is part of Saudi Arabia’s initiative under Vision 2030 to improve and modernise the pilgrim experience.
It allows users to obtain permits, schedule visits, and access a range of services designed to make the Umrah journey smoother and more accessible.
