Abu Dhabi: Mecca municipal authorities have shut down two coffee shops for flouting COVID-19 precautions, local media reported.
Inspection teams have intensified visits to Mecca cafes to ensure their compliance with the protocols for serving shisha, an official said.
“These visits resulted in the closure of two cafes and confiscation of 27 hookahs due to poor hygiene,” the official added.
Legal measures were taken against the violators, the official said.
