Kuwait city: Foreigners now make up 69 per cent of Kuwait's total population of 3.4 million, according to an economic report on Sunday.
The expatriate population in Kuwait rose by 8.5 per cent to 2.3 million, while the native population rose to only 3.1 per cent to 1.05 million.
The percentage of native Kuwaitis has been dropping every year as recruitment of foreign manpower has risen dramatically, according to Al Shall Economic Consultants.
The report, based on figures from the Public Authority for Civil Information, also said that foreigners represent a massive 84.5 per cent of the total labour force in the country.
