Airline expands UAE operations with new routes and honours travel partners in Dubai

Dubai: Airblue, the largest private airline operating between the UAE and Pakistan, is ramping up its capacity ahead of Eid Al Adha with additional flights to accommodate the seasonal rush of passengers.

“To manage soaring demand, the airline will operate extra flights on June 2 and June 4 on the high-traffic Dubai–Islamabad route,” Usman Muneer airline’s Regional Sales Manager, told Gulf News. He said that three flights will be operated each on June 2 and 4 to accommodate extra passenger load.

57 weekly flights

With 57 weekly flights already in operation from the UAE to Pakistan, Airblue is reinforcing its position as the leading private carrier on this vital corridor.

As part of its regional engagement efforts, Airblue’s senior leadership led by Director Commercial Muhammad Shafique, General Manager Commercial Muhammad Kamran visited the UAE to connect directly with key industry partners.

Awards ceremony

A highlight of the visit was a special event in Dubai where Airblue hosted awards ceremony to honour its top-performing travel agents. The event celebrated the vital role agents play in supporting the airline’s growth and fostering customer loyalty. Awards were presented in recognition of outstanding sales contributions and long-term partnerships.

The gathering also served as a platform for open dialogue, where agents shared feedback and discussed opportunities for collaboration.

International expansion

The Airblue team outlined plans to enhance flight frequencies and unveiled updates on the airline’s international expansion including the launch of a new Islamabad–Manchester route, and upcoming operations to Oslo and a destination in Italy.

“This strategic outreach reflects Airblue’s commitment to strengthening partnerships, expanding global connectivity, and enhancing customer service across its growing network,” said Muneer.

He added that the airline would also provide connectivity to passengers travelling to Manchester visa Islamabad from Dubai.

According to Usman Muneer, the airline operates 39 flights from Dubai to four cities in Pakistan including two daily flights each to Islamabad and Lahore, one to Karachi and four daily flights to Multan.

The airline also operates nine weekly flights from Sharjah to three Pakistani cities including Lahore, Multan and Islamabad.

Airblue also operates eight flights from Abu Dhabi to Pakistan every week including 4 each to Islamabad and Lahore.
