India: Four, including two children, killed in Jharkhand explosion

Giridih, Jharkhand: Four people, including two women and two children, died in an explosion at their residence in Jharkhand’s Giridih district.

The cause of the explosion is yet to be confirmed, but Superintendent of Police Amit Renu said it appeared to be a cylinder blast.

“Four persons of a family lost their lives in an explosion at their residence in Tisri Police Station limits. The cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained. Prima facie it appears to be a cylinder blast,” Renu said.

The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem and the cause of the blast is being investigated, a police inspector said.
