Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) reported light rainfall early this morning over Masafi in Ras Al Khaimah and Dibba Al Hisn in Sharjah, as unsettled summer weather continues across the UAE.

Forecasters expect fair to partly cloudy skies throughout the day, with a chance of convective cloud development in eastern areas by afternoon, possibly bringing more rainfall. The NCM has maintained its earlier advisory of potential rainfall in eastern regions through Friday.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution due to slippery roads following rain showers.

Meanwhile, the country is bracing for extreme heat, with internal areas set to sizzle at 44°C to 49°C. Coastal and island regions will experience highs between 40°C and 45°C, while mountainous areas are expected to see temperatures soar to 35°C to 40°C.

Light to moderate winds will freshen at times during the day, blowing dust from the southeast to northwest at speeds of 10–25 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 40 km/h.
