Dubai: The strong windy weather is set to continue throughout Saturday, with a chance of isolated thunderstorms across the UAE.

Unsettled weather is coming from Ras Al Khaimah and the Northern Emirates, from North to South-West of the UAE, according to the duty forecaster, Dubai Meteorological Office.

A public weather warning was issued on Friday, and another is likely for Saturday, due to strong southerly winds, and low visibility down to 1,500 metres because of the blowing dust.

Isolated thunderstorms are expected across the UAE on Saturday night, and there is a risk of rain showers.

Temperatures remain high on Friday and Saturday at 34-35C maximum, with a minimum of 25C.

On Sunday, temperatures will cool down to around 29C maximum, with a minimum temperature of 19C.

Pupils brave a mild sandstorm as they return home from school in the Muhaisnah area, Dubai, on Tuesday. The weather has been quite unstable over the last few days. There were days of early-morning fog, followed by a windy spell, even as temperatures remained low.
