UAE traffic alert: Dubai's RTA announces temporary closure of Jumeirah Street

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that Jumeirah Street will be closed in the Deira-bound direction on Sunday, April 20.

The closure will be in effect from 1:30 am to 5:30 am, between the Umm Suqeim Intersection and the Burj Al Arab Intersection.

The RTA has urged motorists to plan their journeys in advance and use alternative routes to avoid delays and ensure smooth travel during the closure period.

Sharjah Road Closure this weekend

Sharjah’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced major road closures and traffic diversions on the Sharjah-Dhaid Road as part of ongoing infrastructure upgrades.

According to a post on social media, the exit leading to Al Dhaid City via Bridge No. 4 will be closed from Friday, April 18, to Monday, April 21, 2025, to allow construction work in the area.

The authority also shared maps highlighting the affected sections—lanes marked in red will be closed, while green-marked lanes will remain open to traffic.
