The move supports UAE’s coexistence goals and highlights RTA’s community commitment
Dubai: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced free bus services for visitors during the Easter celebrations this weekend.
In a social media post, the RTA stated that the initiative is in line with the directives of the UAE’s leadership to promote coexistence, tolerance, and harmony, and reflects the authority’s commitment to engaging with Dubai’s diverse communities.
From April 18 to 20, the RTA will operate free shuttle buses between Energy Metro Station and the Church Complexes in Jebel Ali, from 8 am to 8 pm.
Those attending celebrations in Oud Metha can reach the site with a short walk from Oud Metha Metro Station.
Earlier this week, the RTA also launched the pilot operation of its next-generation electric bus, a major step toward achieving a zero-emission public transport system by 2050.
The state-of-the-art bus is currently serving Route F13, a vital metro feeder line linking Al Quoz Bus Depot with key destinations like Burj Khalifa, The Palace Downtown Hotel, Dubai Fountain, and the Dubai Mall Metro Bus Stop (South).
The initiative is part of RTA’s broader strategy to integrate smart, sustainable mobility solutions across Dubai’s transport network.
