One of the perfect sweet delights to enjoy after Iftar, this featured recipe will let you make balls of dough deep-fried until golden, it’s so hard to no. Qasr Al Sultan shares their method of preparing Loukmat for Ramadan.

Preparation

Ingredients
½ kg flour No. 2
sprinkle of saffron
sprinkle of salt
½ tsp cardamom powder
½ tsp yeast
50 gm milk powder
2 tsp sugar
1 ½ cup water
 
1 litre oil for deep-frying
1 bottle of date syrup
1 tsp sesame Seeds

Method

1. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together.                 
2. Cover the bowl and keep aside for three to four hours.
3. Heat the oil in a pot.                
4. Take the flour mixture and mix once again.                
5. Make lime-sized dumplings and fry in medium heat oil until golden brown.
6. Take out from oil and serve hot in a platter topped with the date syrup.
