Fire on floating platform off Abu Dhabi beach contained, no injuries

Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Police and the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority have brought under control a fire that broke out on Thursday morning, October 15, 2026, on a floating platform at Al Hudayriyat Beach in Abu Dhabi.

No injuries were reported, police said in a post on X.

Cooling and smoke extraction operations are currently under way at the site.

Authorities have not yet released details on the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
