ChatGPT and social-media platform X were among the websites blocking some users' access
Internet users across the world faced connectivity issues on Tuesday afternoon after a Cloudflare outage.
Services including the AI platform ChatGPT and the social media giant X were among the platforms that were temporarily inaccessible to some users globally.
“Cloudflare is aware of, and investigating an issue which impacts multiple customers. Widespread 500 errors, Cloudflare Dashboard and API also failing,” the company said. “We are continuing to investigate this issue.”
California-headquartered Cloudflare provides a wide range of services to improve the security, performance, and reliability of websites, web applications, and networks.
Cloudflare has confirmed the root issue has been identified and a fix is being implemented. As a result, all impacted services are recovering, and specific tools like Cloudflare Access and WARP have recovered, with their error levels returning to pre-incident rates.
Affected websites are now loading normally. The company is continuing to monitor the situation closely to ensure stability and has advised users to check its status page for the latest developments.
