Circuit to come back after 23-year absence
Mexico City: After a 23-year absence, Mexico will return to the Formula One world championships in 2015, F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone has announced.
“I’m happy to announce we’ve concluded an agreement to have a race in 2015,” Xinhua quoted Ecclestone as saying on Wednesday.
Mexico had been hosting a F1 race since 1963, but after the race in 1992 it was excluded from the F1 calendar.
