Dubai: Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer may be taking a break from cricket, but the Punjab Kings captain isn’t compromising on fitness. In a video shared by the official X handle of Punjab Kings, the 30-year-old is seen sprinting in black shorts and red sneakers. The clip, which quickly went viral, was captioned: “Bhag bhag bhag, aaya Sher aaya Sher.”

Iyer’s speed and determination during the sprint—shot in Kazakhstan—highlight his commitment to staying in peak condition, as he channels his inner Usain Bolt.

Earlier this month, Iyer also made an appearance at a racing event at the Dubai Autodrome. Representing the Mumbai Falcons, he surprised fans by hitting the track in a racing suit emblazoned with his trademark No 96.

While the Indian Test team is currently on a tour of England for a five-match series, Iyer was a notable omission from the squad. Many had expected him to be considered for a middle-order spot following the Test retirements of veterans Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
