Rihanna to star in musical drama ‘Annette’

Singer Rihanna will join actor Adam Driver, of Star Wars: The Force Awakens fame, in the upcoming musical drama Annette.

Details about Rihanna’s role are yet to be announced.

Previously, Rooney Mara was set to appear in the movie, but she left due to other commitments.

The producers are currently looking for another lead actress.

Annette follows a stand-up comedian who becomes a widower after the death of his opera singer wife. He is left to raise his two-year-old daughter who harbours surprising gift.

The film will be directed by Leos Carax.
