It only had its premiere in Los Angeles on Monday, but already Hollywood bosses are at work on a sequel to the star-studded new movie Valentine's Day which is released in the UAE on Thursday.

The stars of the romantic comedy, including Julia Roberts, Ashton Kutcher, Anne Hathaway, Patrick Dempsey and Jennifer Garner, hit the red carpet in Hollywood to present the much-awaited romcom, which follows a group of couples in Los Angeles. Its producers are contemplating a follow-up to the same which will be based on New Year's Eve and titled the same, reports fashion.ie.

Conspicously absent was Taylor Swift, who has now split from Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner after the chemistry they cooked up on-screen in the film apparently fizzed out.

Producers are so sure of the success of the first outing that they are already plotting the next movie to feature some of the same characters in New York City on December 31.

Director Garry Marshall is expected to return to helm New Year's Eve, which is slated for release in late 2011.

Shirley MacLaine, Julia Roberts and Emma Roberts.
