Saiyami Kher, who will make her debut with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya, says since she does not mind that the movie is being widely pitched as the launch of veteran actor Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan.

“He signed the film eight months before me. His journey has been completely different.

“And it is the launch of Anil Kapoor’s son, so it’s going to be the topic of discussion... It’s a huge deal. When you talk about being sidelined, I don’t think that’s the case because if you are doing a love story, you can’t sideline any of the lovers — the girl or the boy,” said Kher.

Mehra’s directorial is inspired by the tale of the legend of Mirza-Sahiban and is an epic action-romance set in contemporary times.

Kher said her family has been supportive.

“My family is over the top. They are very filmy, so when I signed the film, they were crying and all that drama happened. They are extremely excited because I have worked with such a respected filmmaker.”
