Singer-actress Monica Dogra turned showstopper for designer Kanika Saluja at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) spring-summer 2015 in New Delhi on Sunday.

The Fireflies actress wore a charcoal and copper coloured leather mermaid lehenga (long skirt) — a mirror work bodysuit — with a chest-defining blouse.

“Through my collection, I was trying to show that sex is not a sin. If people are not educated, crimes like rape and child abuse will happen. Monica is also an advocate of female rights and we have discussed this before, so I chose her to be the showstopper,” Saluja said.

“Women need to understand that we don’t need men to be happy. We can have children without a man also,” she added.

Consisting of lehengas, saris, shorts, jumpsuits and gowns, the collection was dedicated to sexuality.
