Manish Malhotra to style Sridevi for Tamil film

Ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra, whose creations have been flaunted by Bollywood stars such as Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, is now styling for his “favourite”, Sridevi, for a Tamil film.

“After Robot styling for a Tamil film,” Malhotra tweeted on Friday.

Malhotra designed the costumes for the 2010 Tamil movie Robot.

He didn’t give out the film’s name, but mentioned that he is working with Chandni star Sridevi.

“Feels like when I started my career as a costume designer: Chennai Film shoot with my favourite @SrideviKapoor,” he tweeted.

Sridevi is currently filming a yet-untitled Tamil fantasy drama that recently began shooting in Chennai.

Also starring Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani and Kiccha Sudeep, the film is being directed by Chimbu Devan.

Sridevi will reportedly play Motwani’s mother in the movie.
