Bollywood’s dancing diva Madhuri Dixit has been zeroed in on as the third judge for the upcoming Indian version of internationally acclaimed dance competition format So You Think You Can Dance.
Dixit, a trained Kathak dancer, has showcased her talent in several Hindi films and popular songs. She has also previously judged dance reality TV show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
Apart from Dixit, the Indian So You Think You Can Dance, which will air on &TV, will also feature choreographers Terence Lewis and Bosco Martis as judges.
“Bosco will take charge of street and raw urban style while I’ll look into the technical aspects of the stage performances. Madhuri will oversee the Indian styles,” Lewis said in a statement.
Internationally, So You Think You Can Dance features a tiered format wherein dancers from a variety of styles enter open auditions held in multiple cities to showcase their talent.
The Indian version of the show will go on air in April.
