Bigg Boss Malayalam 7 kicks off with Mohanlal in full form: Meet the 20 contestants, from Nevin to Gizele Thakral

Bigg Boss Malayalam is back with its seventh season, and it’s already off to a start. Premiered on August 3, 2025, with Mohanlal as host.The launch event featured Mohanlal making a striking entrance in traditional attire, setting an engaging and festive tone for the season. The contestants were introduced amidst much excitement, while the Bigg Boss house was unveiled as a thoughtfully designed space, ready to host weeks of intense competition.

The season, originally slated for a March release, faced delay after delay, owing to Mohanlal’s film commitments. But good things come to those who wait, and this season is serving big energy right out of the gate.

A new house, logo and a lot of drama

This year, the Bigg Boss Malayalam house finally gets a permanent address in Chennai, which means no more set-hopping between Mumbai and other versions. A dedicated house for a dedicated fanbase.

The eye logo was revealed on May 21, coinciding with Mohanlal’s birthday, a blend of magenta, purple, and deep blue, with seven gem-like elements and a stylized ‘7’ worked into the iconic eye motif.
