‘Baaghi’ makes Rs118.7m opening in India

Sabbir Khan directorial Baaghi made Rs118.7 million (Dh6.5 million) on its opening day in India.

Trade analyst Komal Nahta tweeted: “#Baaghi Day 1: 11.87 crore, highest opening on a non-holiday for 2016 and second highest opening of year! Opening in mass centres is unprecedented.”

Baaghi made close to $232,000 (Dh851,881) at the Gulf box office across 66 screens on Thursday, read a statement.

The Sajid Nadiadwala production is about how a young man tries to save the kidnapped love of his life.

The action film features actors Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor and Telugu star Sudheer Babu.
