Eid Al Fitr holidays declared for UAE government staff
Abu Dhabi: The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources announced today that the period from Ramadan 29 until Shawwal 3, 1444 will be a paid holiday for all federal government employees on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.
This came in a circular issued by the authority in implementation of the Federal Cabinet’s decision regarding the calendar of official holidays.

Based on astronomical calculations, Ramadan is expected to last 29 days this year. This means that the Eid holiday will start on Thursday, April 20.
Dubai announces Eid holidays
The Dubai Government Human Resources Department has announced that Dubai government departments will observe Eid Al Fitr holiday, starting from the 29th of Ramadan until Shawwal 3, 1444 AH.
On this occasion, Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, extended his warmest greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, as well as to Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members, Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes, and Deputy Rulers and the people of the UAE.
Eid holidays for Sharjah government staff
Sharjah Human Resources Directorate (SHRD) announced that Eid Al Fitr holiday for the Sharjah government departments, bodies and institutions will start from Ramadan 29 to Shawwal 3. The government agencies that operate on shift systems should undertake necessary arrangements in accordance with the nature and needs of their work.
