Expo 2020: Meet ‘The Fixies’, the mascots of the Russia Pavilion
Dubai: The Russia Pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020 has its own mascots, a bunch it calls 'The Fixies'. Catch up with the edutaining group at the Mobility District.
The Fixies draw from one of Russia’s biggest animated productions of the same name. The series, available on YouTube, has more than 3 billion views, making it the perfect starting point for representation.
Who are The Fixies?
The Fixies consist of five characters (all of whom can only be seen by children) who repair and restore gadgets, broken appliances and electrical circuits. The animated series centres on the adventures of a 10-year-old boy named Tom Thomas and focuses on the themes of science, technology and the environment.
All 156 episodes are six-minutes long, and focus on solving a problem using the knowledge, skills and tools of The Fixies.
