Ingredients
100gm Kabuli chana (chick peas)
50gm onion
50gm tomatoes
2 green chillies
1 sprig green coriander
1 ½ tbsp chaat masala
1 ½ tbsp lemon juice
Salt to taste
A pinch baking soda (for boiling, optional)
2-3 tbsp tomato ketchup (optional)
METHOD
1. Boil the chana or gram till it is cooked to a nutty texture.
2. Add chopped onions, tomatoes, green chillies and green coriander to it.
3. Season the chaat by adding lemon juice, salt, chaat masala and tomato ketchup.
4. Put the chaat in a bowl and garnish with chopped coriander.
5. To make the chaat even tangier, you could use tamarind sauce.
