Dubai: The World Logistics Passport (WLP) will host its inaugural Global Summit on Tuesday 08 June.

The Summit’s aim is to further international cooperation in order to offer businesses the right regulatory conditions, information and incentives to unlock the potential of global trade.

It will bring together global leaders from business, government and international organisations to share perspectives on the key trends shaping the freight and logistics industry.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group, will chair the Summit. It will also feature prominent leaders in the global logistics sector and other international organisations will also be present, with discussions taking place under Chatham House rules.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, CEO and Group Chairman, DP World, said: “As a worldwide smart end-to-end supply chain and logistics firm, and as a partner of the programme, DP World is at the forefront of evolving and expanding the WLP. Key to the programme’s success is the fact that it is free to join and open to all – any country or corporation that plays an active role in international trade is welcome.”
