Large quantity of narcotic pills confiscated from vehicle used by the suspects

Abu Dhabi: Kuwaiti anti-narcotics police arrested a Kuwaiti national and an expatriate for drug abuse and narcotics trafficking in Sabah Al Ahmad Sea City, a multi-billion dollar city being built in Kuwait close to the sea border with Saudi Arabia, police said.
As the suspect tried to speed off, his vehicle crashed into a police barrier at a checkpoint. He got off the car and tried to run away, but was soon held.
The man was found to be a foreign national. His accomplice, who was present in the car, was found to be a Kuwaiti. He, too, was arrested, the police said.
Upon frisking the two suspects and after thoroughly checking the car, police found a large quantity of narcotic pills.
The suspects and the drugs were referred to Public Prosecution for further investigations pending trial, police said.
