A dream came true for a national girl when rock idol Bryan Adams invited her up on stage to join him in singing one of his hit numbers. Adams was enthralling the crowd at The Club in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday night when he plucked the girl out of the audience and asked her to join him on stage.

The girl, Badriyah, a freshman at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi, said: "The security guard was about to take this other English girl next to me, but Bryan pointed at me and had me come on stage instead. I felt scared and nervous, yet very happy."

Badriyah took the crowd by surprise when she announced that she was a national, and Adams kept screaming her name while they performed "When You're Gone", which he originally recorded with Spice Girl Mel C.

"I really wanted to sing with him and my dream came true. He was a perfect gentleman," she said.
She was invited by Adams to stay on stage until he finished his performance. "I could not sleep all night afterwards. It was my first ever concert and I will never forget it, and I hope that he continues to make brilliant music," she added.

Adams, who rocked the capital with his his international hits, said, "I had a very good time performing and I would love to come back and do this again."
