Dubai: Khalid Al Kamali, Ali Ghanem Al Amri, Wasim Mufty and Abdul Rahman Safe’e booked their spots in the quarter-finals of the inaugural Dubai Snooker Tournament being held at the Dubai Snooker Club.
Al Kamali got the better of Ram Belkhal 4-1, while Safe’e defeated Hussain Al Harisi 4-2 to book their respective places in the last eight places in the competition. Meanwhile, Mufty blanked Nadeem Mohammad 4-0 and Al Amri managed his way past Rashid Al Shukaili 4-1.
Sponsored by Chocolate Advertising LLC, the top-ranked Mohammad Shehab had led the first four qualifiers into the quarter-finals. Farhan Qamar, Mohammad Sharif and Habib Sabah had already joined the UAE’s best player in the quarter-finals with contrasting wins on Tuesday itself.
Action continues with the semi-finals being held on March 23 followed by the final on March 24.
